Need-based Scholarship Application

Civic Theatre strives to provide scholarships to as many children as possible. However, due to the influx of applications for our summer session, we needed to close registration earlier than expected. Please watch for more scholarships to be announced over the summer for our CTS fall session. We will contact summer scholarship winners approximately 4 weeks before the start of our summer session.
We are thrilled and proud to offer a number of need-based scholarships, which allow the transformative power of Civic Theatre School to be accessed by more members of the community, even those with the most limited financial resources. Scholarships cover 90% of the Civic Theatre School tuition costs.
DEADLINE:
TO APPLY:
- Fill out the registration form on this page. This is your application for consideration for a scholarship.
- Confirm that you qualify for Free or Reduced Price School Meals. If selected, you must provide proof of qualification in order to receive scholarship.
- On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, students will be drawn at random from among qualified applicants to receive scholarships, until all funds have been distributed.
- After June 27, students who did not receive scholarships can choose to pay in full to participate in Civic Theatre School.
- Those who did receive scholarships have 1 week to pay remaining 10% of tuition or will forfeit scholarship.
In order to qualify for future scholarship awards, recipients are expected to attend all Civic Theatre School classes, except in case of emergency or sickness. Students are also expected to write/draw a note of thanks to the Muir family, in class with the assistance of CTS instructors, as a gesture of thanks for this opportunity.
Scholarships are made possible by the generous support of the Betty and Bob Muir Scholarship Fund, the Arangio Foundation, and many members of the Civic Theatre community.
