Application for Need-based Scholarship

Civic Theatre offers need-based scholarships to Theatre School which can allow access to members of the community with the most limited financial resources. Scholarships cover 100% of the Civic Theatre School main class tuition. Voice classes are not covered by the scholarship, but your child may be enrolled in voice if you receive a scholarship as long as you agree to cover the cost. Please do not enroll in voice class until you hear whether your child received a scholarship.
Scholarships are made possible by the generous support of the Betty and Bob Muir Scholarship Fund, the Arangio Foundation, and many members of the Civic Theatre community.
- DEADLINE TO APPLY: Tuesday, August 12th by 5pm
- Fill out the registration form for this "class". This is your application for consideration for a scholarship. The definition of "need" is yours and is on the honor system. Only families with a financial need should apply.
- Students will be drawn at random from among qualified candidates to receive scholarships, until all funds have been distributed.
- Those who did receive scholarships have 1 week from notification of the scholarship to acknowledge they will be attending or they will forfiet their scholarship unless other arrangements are made in writing.
- Students who did not receive scholarships can choose to pay the full cost to participate in Civic Theatre School (provided the class is not sold out).
In order to qualify for future scholarship awards, recipients are expected to attend all Civic Theatre School classes, except in case of emergency or illness. Students are also expected to write/draw a note of thanks to the Muir family, in class, with the assistance of CTS instructors, as a gesture of thanks for this opportunity.
