Need-based Scholarship Application
Civic Theatre offers need-based scholarships to Theatre School which can allow access to members of the community with the most limited financial resources. Scholarships cover the equivalent of the half day summer class at the Civic Theatre School.
Scholarships are made possible by the generous support of the Betty and Bob Muir Scholarship Fund, the Arangio Foundation, and many members of the Civic Theatre community.
- DEADLINE TO APPLY: Wednesday, March 25, 2026 by 12pm
- Fill out the registration form for this "class". This is your application for consideration for a scholarship.
- The definition of "need" is yours and is on the honor system. Only families with a financial need should apply.
- We will distribute scholarships until all funds have been distributed. Students who did not receive scholarships can choose to pay the full cost (all at once or broken down into payments) to participate in Civic Theatre School.
- All applicants will receive notice whether they receive a scholarship or not.
- Summer scholarships will cover the cost of a half day class or grades 9-12 drama only. If you receive a scholarship, you may enroll your child in a full day or grade 9-12 with voice class (pending availability) and you would simply need to pay the difference in price. We will provide you with a special code so you are charged appropriately and you may make payments on the balance, it does not need to be paid all at once. However, do not enroll in the full day class until AFTER you hear whether you received a scholarship or not and either received the promo code or completed your order with the box office.
PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE ACTUAL CLASS YOU ARE APPLYING FOR OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE $50 REGISTRATION FEE WHICH WILL BE NON-REFUNDABLE.
